Mastercraft is using SYNTHESIS to develop production drawings for the manufacture of HVAC ducting, grilles, registers and piping. Each of the twenty categories or "family of parts" has 300-400 possible configurations for manufacture.

The initial project of creating 1100 drawings in AutoCAD was estimated at a cost of $99,000. With SYNTHESIS and AutoCAD, the project was completed in four months costing only $13,442.

"We trained on SYNTHESIS in October and by Christmas we had completed over 1100 D-sized drawings, using only one work station. Design work we had estimated would take four years will now be completed in six months. With SYNTHESIS, we can have a finished drawing every 10 minutes. The applications of the program are limited only by the imagination of the user."
