Gamlet Inc. of York, Pennsylvania, manufactures industrial electrical enclosures: steel plate boxes which house electrical devices. Certain aspects, such as flanges, remain consistent according to NEMA/UL specifications, while sizes of the boxes and the number of doors needed vary with each customer's requirements.
Gamlet uses a combination of SYNTHESIS, AutoCAD, and NC Programmer to design their electrical enclosures. SYNTHESIS prompts the user for the number of doors required, as well as the height, depth and width measurements of each enclosure. Then it provides an accurately dimensioned drawing of the flat components-ready for the manufacturing process.
