Structural timber connectors

Connectors Inc. custom designs and manufactures structural timber connectors. One type of connector they produce is commonly called a "hanger". Hangers, required by construction specifications, are U-shaped devices used to connect beams to support walls.

The hangers produced by Connectors Inc. can be several pieces of sheet metal, or a single piece of sheet metal bent in varying angles. Each hanger varies in size, number and construction of angles, and in quantities of holes.

Connectors Inc. uses SYNTHESIS in combination with a mini computer and a batch file program developed by Erol Fox, the CAD operator, to produce a detailed drawing of each hanger variation. SYNTHESIS can make slight design changes in moments, making custom designs practically as routine as off-the-shelf buying.
